These filters are brand new and can be used on 1/4″ or 5/16″ fuel line.The inputs are barbed for positive fuel line retention when used with the appropriate clamp. You should replace the fuel filters on small engines at least once a year (more often if you use it frequently or in dirty/dusty environments). A dirty fuel filter can make the engine run too lean, with diminished performance and uneven operation.
