1. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and turn off the engine. This will ensure that the mower won’t start while you are working on it.

2. Unscrew the screws on the side of the mower deck to remove the side panel.

3. Locate the voltage regulator. It is usually located near the top of the engine and is connected to the battery and the engine.

4. Unscrew the screws that hold the voltage regulator in place and remove it.

5. Replace the faulty voltage regulator with the new one. Make sure the connections are tight and secure.

6. Replace the side panel and screws that you removed earlier.

7. Reconnect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.

8. Turn the engine on and check that the voltage regulator is working correctly.

9. Turn the engine off and you’re done.
